Marcellina G. was named for three women who discovered their passions and never looked back. Get to know them and their stories.

Ellen has always been an artist at heart and a child at play. She's been working in the design world for quite some time and began her career in graphics. With a double degree from the University of Maryland in Art Studio and Management Information Systems, Ellen always knew she wanted to turn her art into a business. She just never knew how it would happen until the birth of Marcellina G.

And now for the story ... Marcellina G. was born by a series of coincidences, all of which began when Ellen discovered a few items from her childhood jewelry box. She placed them on a chain which she wore around her neck to easily transport the combination of pieces home. When she arrived, she realized how she loved the meaningful necklace with items that went as far back as her fourth birthday. Ellen rearranged the necklace, added and removed a few pieces and wore her jewels constantly for the next six months. During that time, she was paid compliments by all sorts of people including clothing designers, boutique owners, store managers and EVEN other jewelry designers. But, the final compliment that was responsible for the birth of Marcellina G. was from a very important man in fashion who works for a highly notable store. Marcellina G. was started the very next day.

And finally, Ellen realized there was nobody better to start a business with than her very supportive mother and sister. So they did it. And they never once looked back.

Regina was the inspiration of Marcellina G. She is the reason Ellen cleaned out her childhood closet (what a good Mom), and as such an influential mother, she is responsble for all of Ellen's tastes in fashion. Regina is a mother of three grown children and a loving woman who is always looking after the people around her. She serves as the Marcellina G. top cheerleader, research coordinator, proofreader and administrative guru. She keeps things moving and never gives up. And since everyone seems to ask, ReGina is the owner of the G.

Marci has always had a creative edge and a knack for business. She began her creative career as a writer, moved onto project management and finally pursued her dream of having three beautiful children, Morgan, Danielle and Jordan. Marci is our chief editor and rational thinker.

David doesn't get enough credit for all the work he does for Marcellina G. He is our legal advisor, strategist and financial accountant. Without David, Marcellina G. wouldn't be what it is today. We don't make big decisions without a consultation with him first. David recently retired from a 35 year career in commercial real estate and is currently working on his own start-up. In his free time, he enjoys helping his children by applying his business intelligence where it fits best. He is an excellent father!
